Joint Police Commmission Seeks Volunteers

The Towns of Monmouth and Winthrop are moving forward with a historic effort to consolidate our two police departments — and we are looking for residents who want to help guide that process.

A new Police Commission is being established to help oversee and guide the consolidation and future operation of the regional police department.

The Commission will include:

• 3 members from Monmouth

• 4 members from Winthrop

We are looking for thoughtful, community-minded residents who are interested in public safety, regional cooperation, and helping build a strong and sustainable police department for both communities.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of something new and help shape how police services are delivered in Monmouth and Winthrop for years to come.

Interested residents are encouraged to submit a volunteer application to the Monmouth Town Office.
